The grapes that go into this beautifully-made Crianza are picked from vines that are over 30 years old. The resulting wine has elegant flavours of fresh red fruit, mingled with notes of coconut, vanilla, cocoa, spice and thyme, derived from ageing in oak barrels. The nose is lifted, bright and fruity, followed by a powerful and velvety palate.
This is a wine which can be drunk now, although its structure and acidity give it ample scope for ageing.

The Valdubón Wineries are located on the outskirts of Milagros, a town near Aranda de Duero (Burgos). The winery was founded in 1997 and since that year has not stopped producing wines. Valdubón wines are known for their personality and vigour. The ageing in barrel brings elegance and balance. Valdubón Crianza is made from Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes, produced on vines with an average age of more than 30 years. The vineyards which produce the grapes for Valdubón Crianza are located in various villages throughout Ribera del Duero, principally Aldehornos, Pardilla and Milagros. All their vineyard plots which supply Valdubón are monitored carefully, establishing an optimum harvest date for each one. On the basis of the results obtained, they select those vineyards for Valdubón Crianza which stand out as producing grapes with highly concentrated fruit and high levels of phenols, to assure good ageing potential. Valdubón Crianza 2018 was aged in for 13 months. 67% of the oak was American, and 33% French, and all barrels were less than 36 months old.
