A stunning example of Chile's native flagship red grape, this is the result of a collaboration to revive old vineyards, which in turn helps support local farmers and communities.

Darker in colour [and more serious] than many País wines out there. This Chilean red has real depth , a concentrated red fruit character, floral highlights and loads of savoury complexity. Similar in style to Pinot Noir or Gamay, this is a fantastic wine to explore.

"An amazing, pure and intense wine with a fantastic story. País is a grape that is native to Chile and this wine is a blend from many different, older vineyards famed locally in Chile. Brimming with bright red fruits and with a delicate savoury complexity."

In these times it is important to stand for what you believe in, and more importantly to build the kind of business you believe in. The team at the Parker point-winning Garage Wine Co. does just this by reviving old vineyards in marginalized Chilean communities to make highly-prized wines. We have collaborated with the team at the Garage Wine Company to bring you<strong> Revival Old Vine País, a bestoke and truly unique wine that captures the essence of the ‘real’ Chile. Made using the fascinating País grape – a variety taken to the Americas from the Canary Islands at the time of the Spanish conquest. It has been dry-farmed in Chile ever since, which means you don’t get much more authentic in terms of Chilean wine than País! The grapes were harvested using traditional 'hand and horse' methods, fermented with wild yeasts and matured over winter in old oak barrels, to soften the wine and add complexity without introducing the overt oak aromas and flavours imparted by newer barrels. This wine is delicious now but can also be cellared for up to 5 or 6 years for extra complexity.
