This prize-winning fizz is produced by Freixenet, one of the leading producers of sparkling wines for around 150 years since the Ferrer family started production of Cava, Spain’s flagship fizz, back in 1861. Over the years, the Freixenet brand has become renowned for its high quality and consistency and its famous Cavas are among the most iconic in the world, making them a stylish way to celebrate any occasion however big or small. The name Elyssia is derived from the Latin word “Elysian” which means heavenly or in a state of perfect bliss. And it’s no exaggeration to describe this wine as heavenly – it really delivers in terms of balance, finesse and harmony. It comprises a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (like Champagne) alongside two of the traditional Cava grapes Macabeo and Parellado.
