The nose is captivating with its aromas of ripe black fruit, peony, fresh rose and nuances of spices. The palate is dense, with lots of material. The tannins are tight but deliciously velvety. The finish, fresh, doesn’t at all suggest the heaviness associated with the vintage. It is vibrant and pleasant with a light minty note."
