Recommended by James Davis, Master of Wine – one of the most accomplished professionals in the wine business:
"Impressive, big wine replete with lovely dense flavours of dark fruit, chocolate and spice. Great with big meat dishes such as a casserole or an antipasti board of charcuterie and cheese".

Perched at an altitude of 95 metres above sea level, Tauzinat l'Hermitage is nestled at the northern edge of the plateau of Saint-Emilion. Carefully cultivated, this land of vines lies in a beautifully hilly and wooded countryside. The property has been managed by Claire Moueix since 2013 with a focus on quality and sustainability.
The soil is made from red clay and limestone (fossilised shellfish) and the viticulture is sustainable, with the property holding the HVE3 environmental certification since 2017. Vinification is traditional with a gentle and controlled maceration in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine is then carefully aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
The wine is a blend of 86% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc.
