Dark ruby colour and brilliant, with a purple rim. Fine and complex nose of smoked black fruits and graphite, with classic Merlot floral notes of violet. The palate, from the attack, displays a juicy and ripe flesh, coated with silky tannins. Rich morello cherry juice and blackberry compote.

An excellent Saint-Emilion satellite appellation with blends focused predominantly on Merlot. 2019 is rated but many critics as the best vintage in the last few years. Drink now or keep for a year or two.

Hand harvested from vines grown on the clay-limestone soils of the Puisseguin hill. Whole bunch fermentation, alternating pumping-over with manual plunging of the marc, use of a vertical cage press with selection of the press wines, maturing in separate batches until final blending. Malolactic fermentation partially in barrels. Aged on lees for 1 month with stirring.80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
