"I could not believe the cost of this humbly priced Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre blend. Offering amazing quality and cellaring potential, I urge readers to stock up!!" - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate

One of the world’s great winemakers, John Duval was given the ‘Grange‘ torch by Max Schubert and passed it on to his successor when he left Penfolds to start out on his own, sourcing fruit from some long-time friends in the Barossa.

Deep crimson and aromatic red fruits are supported by vibrant plum. Earthy spice characters combine well with a touch of savoury oak. The palate is rich, round and full of concentrated, bright berry fruit supported by vibrant acidity and soft, ripe tannins. A touch of oak adds complexity to the long, layered finish.

"Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Plexus (a Shiraz, Grenache. Mourvèdre blend) is a little youthfully reticent, offering glimpses at black raspberry and mulberry aromas plus licorice, cracked black pepper, earth and lavender. Medium to full-bodied and still very primary in the mouth, it has a great intensity of red and black fruit flavors supported by ripe, rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy." - 92+pts, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
