One sip of this traditional yet exotic Gin and you are transported into the life of one Montgomery Collins, the originator of this unique spirit. He lived for adventure - from a childhood in India, to a military career in Berlin, to his later years spent in the Black Forest. Hints of fresh citrus and ripe juniper on the nose followed by a vegetal and slightly wooded finish that's extremely complex and robust. A big kick of rewarding flavour greets the palate with a clean mouth feel. Foresty and aromatice flavours continue across the entire palate until you are left with an exotically perfumed and flowery finish. Monkey 47 is composed of only the freshest, handpicked ingredients, with at least one third of them obtained from the Black Forest, complimented by spices from India and traditional London Dry notes. A perfect gin for experimental cocktails, it also works well in classics such as a G&T or a Negroni.
“A friend brought me back a bottle of Monkey 47 GIN, made from 47 botanicals in Germany's Black Forest - the greatest gin I have ever tasted." Robert Parker, May 2013
"A great gift for the gin connoisseur, beautifully packaged in an apothecary-style bottle. Only a true expert will identify all 47 botanicals, a third of which come from the Black Forest in Germany, where the gin is distilled. The sheer complexity of the flavour makes it a little overpowering in a simple G&T, but it makes a memorable negroni, a fine martini and would make for a very interesting evening's cocktail experimentation." Whether with tonic, in your favourite gin cocktail, or even sipped on its own, the unique and complex taste of Monkey 47 always shines through, the "UK's favourite German gin"

I had this in a cocktail in a bar in Shoreditch and I found it here, I've just ordered it and I can't wait to get it to start making more cocktails. It's great.

A really interesting gin that blends influences from England, India and the Black Forest. Floral, exotic and with plenty of Juniper, this is definitely worth the money.
