This excellent Cru Beaujolais is produced by winemaker Samantha Bailey, who lives and breathes this region, and knows where to source the best grapes and how to get the best from them in the winery. The 2015 vintage has been hailed by many as one of the greatest yet, and perhaps even 'perfect' accoring to local producers. The quality of the vintage shines through in this wine, produced from the St Amour specified Cru, one of 10 villages which produce higher quality wines with a more serious style worthy of cellaring.

St Amour is one of the smallest and the most northenly 'Cru', producing medium bodied wines, noted for a silky texture and hints of spice, which can age up to 8 years.

This is a vibrant purple in the glass, with aromas of cherries, strawberries, violets and spice. The palate is silky, with a great balance between the exuberant fruit and underlying structure. There are rounded tannins, lush strawberry fruit, and notes of liquorice and spice which add complexity. The wine is enjoyable now but can be cellared over 5-8 years. Try with herb crusted lamb. Enjoy now to 2025.

'Soft and easy-drinking, with a superb interplay between dark, layered fruit and the crispness of its acidity. Certainly attractive now, but has the density to improve with further ageing. Drink to 2020.' - 90 Points 'Highly Recommended' - Decanter Magazine, September 2017 Issue
